John McEleney Chief Executive Officer, SolidWorks
Corporation
Mr.John brings more than 20 years of leadership and product
development experience in the CAD industry to his role charting
SolidWorks' future. Prior to joining SolidWorks in 1996 as
vice president of Far East distribution, he held several senior
management positions at CAD software pioneer Computervision.
He joined Computervision from Raytheon, where he managed one
of the giant contractor's defense product design and development
pre-production teams. John has a bachelor's degree in mechanical
engineering from the University of Rochester, a master's degree
in manufacturing systems from Boston University, and a master's
degree in business administration and marketing from Northeastern
University. |

Mr.
Ved Narayan Vice President, Asia Pacific Operations,
SolidWorks Corporation
Ved Narayan brings more than 15 years experience in the IT
industry to SolidWorks. In this role, Narayan manages the
Asia-Pacific operations for SolidWorks and is responsible
for revenue and growth of the products within the commercial
and educational markets. Prior to this promotion to vice president,
Narayan was the director of SolidWorks Asia Pacific operations.
Previous to SolidWorks, he held positions in both Asia and
the U.S. at companies such as DEC, PTC, Software Emancipation,
and Synchronicity. While at DEC, he managed ISV relationships
for CAD/CAM/CAE partners such as ComputerVision, Unigraphics,
and SDRC. While at PTC, Narayan was the country manager and
major account manager, working in India and Singapore. He
earned a bachelor of engineering degree in computer science
from BIT Mesra INDIA. |

Kiran Karnik President NASSCOM
As President, NASSCOM – the premier trade body and the chamber
of commerce for the IT software and services industry in India,
Mr Karnik works closely with the industry, members and the
Indian Central & State governments to formulate policies and
strategies for the advancement of this sector locally as well
as internationally. His key function is to build global brand
equity for the Indian software and service industry. Mr Karnik
has been the guiding force for the Indian IT industry during
the outsourcing backlash. By providing perspective and background
information, Mr Karnik has been instrumental in promoting
India's technology strength to the world. A post-graduate
from Indian Institute of Management, Admedabad, Mr Karnik
holds an Honours degree in Physics from Bombay University. |

Ba-Thong Phan Technical Manager, Asia-Pacific, SolidWorks
Corporation
Ba-Thong has over 19 years of experience in the CAD industry.
He joined SolidWorks in January 2000 as the regional technical
manager for SolidWorks Asia-Pacific operations. Prior to joining
SolidWorks, Ba-Thong spent 10 years with Matra Datavision.
He was the Technical Manager for their China Operations located
in Beijing. He moved successfully from Software development
engineer to Technical Support and Pre-sales engineer within
Matra Datavision, both in France and USA. Ba-Thong has worked
with Renault Automobiles developing specific CAD applications
for car body design and complex 3 to 5 axis machining algorithm
for surface machining. Ba-Thong graduated from Institut des
Sciences Appliquees de Lyon, an engineering college in France
and he holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Analysis (CAD/CAE)
from University Claude Bernard in Lyon France. |

Rajagopalan Varadarajan Regional Technical Manager
- Analysis Products, SolidWorks Corporation
Varda is Technical Manager Analysis Products for Asia Pacific
Operations. Varda joined SolidWorks in December 2003 and has
been working in the analysis applications last 17 years. Prior
to joining SolidWorks, Varda was with Structural Dynamics
Research Corporation for about 7 years as CAE solutions manager
for the ASEAN, India, Australia and New Zealand. Before that
he was working with an Automobile OEM, in India as CAE Engineer,
doing Design and Analysis of Automotive components and assemblies
for over 7 years. He is well versed in FEM, Solid Mechanics,
Vibration, Flow, Thermal, Experimental methods, Correlation
and has worked on many of the commercially available CAE software.
Varda is a Post Graduate at Mechanical Engineering Design
from Indian Institute of Technology, India. |
